Summary
Specialized in Big Data and presently associate professor of computer sciences at Thiès Polytechnics, I also have some strong backend web developer (PHP, Python / Django). I have led several web engineering and data engineering projects over the past ten years. In my academic activities, I have supervised tens of research and development projects (Masters level) and many Proof of concepts (PoC).
In addition to my teaching and coaching activities, I am head of the innovation department. I have been running the EPT Fablab for six years during which we have developed many IoT projects, prototypes or PoC. I have forged many international and national partnerships in innovative projects and sustainable development using IT and engineering.
I am enthusiastic data specialist and eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. I am also motivated to learn, grow and take new challenges.

- Freshness on the City Project: design and implementation of a network of sensors to monitor the temperatures of different buildings.
- In this project, I was responsible for the development and deployment of the dashboard.
- It is a web application coupled with a mysql database to store data streams from 30 sensors and display a real-time summary for the various buildings monitored.
- Tools: Python, Django, Plotly Dash and MySQL.

- (Computer Science Laboratory of Paris 6 at Sorbonne University) During these two postdoctoral stays I worked on two projects; - a model for controlling the spread of malaria in Senegal, taking into account the individual mobility of populations.
- We have studied in detail the case of the Kédougou region in southern Senegal.
- The other project is about accessing and analyzing big data with a Spark cluster.
- In this second project, we were interested in the enrichment of geolocated data for the recommendation of points of interest.
- In these two research projects, I worked on the design stages but also and more particularly on the implementation and experimental validation phases.
- Tools: We worked on a local Spark cluster with Python and PySpark, the private sector or in consultancy.
