As project manager, I contributed to constructing five district hospitals in Zambia as part of a $300 million contract for health care services with NMSI UK Infrastructure. These hospitals, situated in Mambwe, Nchelenge, Mwansabombwe, Kitwe, and Ndola, were designed for 80 beds each.

My role included:

• Identifying construction challenges in rural, isolated areas and proposing solutions.
• Collaborating with local authorities and stakeholders for permits and community integration.
• Directing a team of six supervisors, forty technicians, and over sixty laborers.
• Ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Managing supplies to prevent delays and maintain continuous flow.
  Tracking expenses and budget comparisons.
• Organizing site meetings for transparent communication and coordination.
• Leading diverse teams, valuing cultural diversity and promoting effective collaboration.

• Construction of residential units, villas, multi-story structures, commercial buildings, retention and cooling ponds, roads, and various networks.
• Development of sanitary, wastewater, and stormwater networks, including dry toilets, septic tanks, manholes, and cesspits.
• Overseeing on-site teams for sewer networks, septic tanks, and wastewater treatment plants.
• Monitoring work progress and resolving on-site issues in collaboration with local stakeholders, considering geographical conditions and available resources.
• Coordinating with local authorities for necessary permits.
• Managing project logistics, purchase orders, deliveries, and administrative procedures.
• Planning projects in detail, allocating resources, and creating realistic work schedules, taking into account budget constraints and available resources.
• Collaborating with engineering and architectural teams to integrate project aspects effectively.
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers and ensuring work compliance.
• Overseeing construction phases to meet quality and safety standards.
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for timely material delivery.
• Maintaining quality control throughout construction process. Supervising work progress and resolving arising issues.
• Analyzing and monitoring daily productivity of resources onsite, including manpower and machinery.
• Executing finishing works such as interior fit-outs, plastering, flooring, glazing, and facade works.

• As Site Manager, I oversaw numerous renovations and alterations of commercial spaces into offices, schools, and other facilities, enforcing strict quality and safety standards.
• Responsibilities included identifying potential challenges in commercial space transformation and proposing innovative, sustainable solutions.
• Under supervision, rigorous monitoring of work execution ensured compliance with specifications and established quality standards.
• Emphasizing site safety, necessary measures were implemented to protect the work team and individuals onsite.
• Effective management of material procurement involved placing orders with suppliers and organizing deliveries for continuous material flow.
• Record file management was conducted with an orderly and efficient filing system.
• Tasks were delegated to specialized employees or subcontractors to expedite processes.
• Supervision was provided to achieve financial and operational objectives, with implementation of efficient processes to optimize time and resource management.
